Homeschool Art: Penguin Project

Daegan started his homeschool art class last week, and this week they completed their first project: a penguin. The kids drew the penguin themselves, coloured it in using charcoal and chalk, and cut it out. Here is Daegan’s completed project; he chose to do an Emperor Penguin:

It’s difficult to get a sense of how big this penguin is (BIG!), so I also took a pic while sticking my socked foot into the frame.

Big penguin!

I am very pleased that Daegan is enjoying his course. It’s a small class (only 6 kids!) which works well for him, and he has a friend in the class to boot. Daegan is also taking drama, skating lessons, and Sportball right now, and Gareth is doing the same—except instead of homeschool art, he is taking an nature-and-anatomy-based art class. I’ve rejoined the monthly book club at the library and had my first meeting last night, and am also taking yoga (weekly) again. Life is busy and good!
