Jellyfish Craft

Gareth is currently enrolled in a “playschool” program one morning a week. The theme of this class—called “A World Down Under”—is oceans. Each day they play games, do a craft, read books, sing songs, etc. related to this theme. Gareth brought home his first craft project from the class recently and he is soooo proud of it. The jellyfish is now hanging from a hook in his room where an old “baby” mobile of jungle animals once hung. Here’s some pics:

A serious Gareth, showing off the craft in his brother's room. We didn't clean up before taking pics, obviously! :-)

Take another picture, Mom! (I love this pic, BTW)

Gareth asked Daegan to dance the jellyfish's tentacles on his head

The craft is made of a paper plate, cut in half and glued so as to have an open section on the bottom. It is covered in coloured tissue paper, and the tentacles are made of construction paper strips, glued to the inside. Add a string, googly eyes and a mouth, and you’re done!

Very cool craft, Gareth. I too love your ear-to-ear grin lying on the floor with your craft!
